As a curriculum developer, instructional designer, content creator and manager, Vincent Young leverages his background in media study, museum education, and the classroom to nurture meaningful learning experiences for teachers and their students.

He has grown a paper and pencil financial education activity into an interactive online educational program. He has built a dynamic digital library of financial literacy lessons and activities from a simple series of linked PDF files. Most recently he has created an online video channel to nurture positive learning habits in a flipped classroom environment.

Vincent earned an MS Ed. from Bank Street College of Education. He received his BA in English and Media Studies from the University of Buffalo. He has developed curriculum and educational programming at several non-profit organizations including the Museum of the Chinese in the Americas (formerly the Chinatown History Museum), the Constitution Works, and the Asian American Writer’s Workshop.

He is an avid reader and writer, who has been published in blogs like NPR’s Tell Me More, Kevin Powell’s BK Nation, and Rice Daddies. He is also a published poet and essayist. He writes regularly on books, popular media, education, and parenting on his blog: Cranialgunk.net.
